Getting to know the Kittelberger Family

It’s beginning to be the time of year where you call on Kittelberger Florist to reach out to friends and familly. Whether you make a phone call and a centerpiece is designed and delivered, a gourmet basket is sent to a friend with holiday well wishes, or you come into our store to find the gift for that hard to buy for person on your list, you know that we are here for all of those needs. What you may not know is when you shop with Kittelbergers  there is an extensive family network taking care of it.

First generation, Willy and Pauline

In the 1930s Willy Fuchs came to work for Mrs Jenny Kittelberger as a gardener in her greenhouses. Willy married Pauline. The couple worked and raised three daughters. Their oldest daughter, Hilda, met Martin Horeth, who began working at Kittelbergers in 1953. Together they raised five children who all work at Kittelbergers today.

Second and third generations

As you can imagine, these five children,  Debbie, Bill, Cathy, Jeanette and Meg all have children of their own.

Third and young fourth generation

Currently Kittelbergers is being run by the third and fourth generations, a feat that only three percent of family businesses accomplish. So when you are using Kittelbergers you are not only supporting a small, locally run business you are trusting a family with generations of experience.
